In 2022 and 2023, those growers required to submit TNA (Total Nitrogen Applied) reports must provide the nitrate concentration from their primary irrigation well. Only growers required to report TNA under the previous Ag Order (3.0) are required to report TNA in 2022/2023.
Samples collected to meet the above “Irrigation Well Sampling Requirements” will also meet the TNA reporting requirement for the subsequent year. However, since the 2022 TNA reporting deadline is March 1st, growers must use a previously-collected well sample to complete this section of the TNA report in 2022. Subsequently, growers can use the 2022 primary irrigation well sample to complete the TNA report that is due by March 1st of 2023.
