Surface Water Program Off-Ramp

Upon resubmittal of the Farm Plan, Self-Assessment Form(s) and Observation Log, Preservation, Inc. will place the ranch into one of three possible status groupings:

Off-Ramped – Ranch discharge is absent or meets Final Limits in Ag Order 4.0. A ranch can achieve partial Off-Ramped status by discharge type or impairment type. Link to Off-Ramping information.

⇒⇒⇒ Ranch remains on Good-Standing Participant List and is placed into pool for off-ramping verification

Meets IQMs – Ranch discharge meets Interim Quantifiable Milestones for all parameters and discharge types. Link to IQM information.

⇒⇒⇒ Ranch remains on Good-Standing Participant List and has 1-2 years to implement new/increased management practices that are sufficient to meet
subsequent IQM or Final Limits. Link to information on Farm Plan sufficiency.
⇒⇒⇒ Ranch will not be charged for Water Board-required FU activities

Does not meet IQM – Ranch discharge does not meet IQMs for all parameters and discharge types.

⇒⇒⇒ Ranch is removed from Good-Standing Participant List and Operator must complete individual paid training with Preservation, Inc. (see Option C above for more info). Additional consequences may apply, up to and including removal from the Third Party Surface Water Follow-Up Program and/or revocation of general Third Party membership (link to additional info on Third Party general eligibility requirements for operations with ranches not participating in Third Party SWFP)
